Data that we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address and password. If you purchase a subscription, we collect the billing information required for payment processing.
Shop and platform data: If you connect your webshop, we collect your store domain, your store name and an access token required for communication with your store's API. We access all relevant data necessary to either create complete language versions of your store content or to complete and update existing language data. This includes product content, translations, themes, languages and market settings as authorized by the permissions you grant during installation. We do not access personal data of your store customers.
Translation content: We process the text content of your store (product descriptions, page content, theme strings, etc.) to provide translation services. This content is sent to external translation providers for processing.
Usage data: We automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited and usage patterns in order to operate and improve our services.
Customer data: We do not collect, store or process any personal data of your store customers. Our services work exclusively at store and content level. We do not retrieve or store any customer names, addresses, order details or other personal data of your store customers.
How we use your data
We use the data collected for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate and maintain our language data and content optimization services
- To authenticate your identity and manage your account
- To connect to your webshop and synchronize language data, including creating, completing and updating content in all language versions
- To process your store's content via external language and AI services for translations, image descriptions, metadata generation and other content optimization
- For payment processing and subscription management
- To communicate with you regarding your account, updates and support requests
- To monitor usage, detect issues and improve the quality of our services
- To comply with legal obligations
Legal basis of the processing
We process your personal data on the following legal bases of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Performance of contract (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR): Processing is necessary for the performance of our contract with you, including the provision of translation services, the management of your account and the connection to your store.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR): We process data to protect our legitimate interests, such as improving our services, ensuring security and preventing fraud, unless these interests are overridden by your rights.
- Consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR): Where necessary, we will obtain your consent before processing data, for example for optional analytics cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR): We process data if this is necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations or legal procedures.
Third-party services
In order to provide our services, we share data with the following categories of third-party providers:
Language and AI service providers: The content of your store is sent to external language and AI service providers for translation, content creation and other processing tasks. These providers process the content solely for the purpose of providing our services and are subject to their respective data processing agreements.
E-commerce platforms: We integrate with third-party e-commerce platforms to access and update your store's content. By connecting your store to our services, you authorize us to access the data necessary to provide our language and content optimization features. Without this access, our services cannot function.
Payment service providers: Subscription payments are processed by external payment service providers. We do not store full credit card details on our servers.
Hosting and infrastructure: Our services are hosted on servers within the European Union. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data.
Data retention
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy:
- Account information: Retained for the duration of your active account. After deletion of the account, your data will be removed within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.
- Shop connection data: If you uninstall our app from your store or disconnect the integration, we will delete the access token and your store's connection data within 48 hours.
- Translation data: Cached translations are kept to improve the service. When a store is disconnected, the associated translation data is deleted.
- Log data: Server logs and usage data are retained for up to 90 days for security and troubleshooting purposes and then automatically deleted.
- Billing data: Financial data is retained for the legally required period (usually 10 years in accordance with Swiss and EU commercial law).
Data security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), secure storage of access tokens, regular security audits and access controls that restrict data access to authorized personnel.
Although we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to maintaining industry-standard safeguards.

Our services are intended for business use. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 16. If we become aware that personal data relating to a child under the age of 16 has been submitted to us without consent, we will take steps to delete this data immediately.
