Your PDFs in any foreign language

The Reqser PDF Translation Agent finds the PDFs linked from your front end—brochures, data sheets, price lists, coupon terms and conditions—and translates them page by page into any foreign language. Photos, graphics, logos, and layout remain exactly as in the original, and the text remains searchable. The translated version is uploaded to your store and automatically linked on your foreign-language pages—without you having to select a PDF, have it translated, or manually update a link.

Reqser PDF Translation Agent – Your PDFs in Any Foreign Language

The Complete Process

Four steps that run completely automatically

From the link on your front end to the translated version on the foreign-language page, the agent handles every step on its own. All you have to do is decide whether you want to step in.

1

Find Linked PDFs

During crawling, the agent captures every PDF linked from your front end in the primary language—on content pages, in product and category descriptions, and on landing pages. PDFs that are only in the media library are excluded.

2

Count Pages

To determine the price, the agent counts the number of pages in each PDF found. This check is free, and you'll know exactly how many pages will be translated before you activate the service.

3

Translate Page by Page

The agent reads the text from each page, translates it using the same translator as the rest of your store—with your dictionary and your protected terms—and inserts it back into the same page. A quality-assurance agent compares each page with the original and has it revised until the lines, spacing, and font are correct.

4

Upload and Link

The translated PDF will be uploaded to your store alongside the original, and every foreign-language page that links to the German PDF will then link to the version in its own language.

Example

One page in a brochure, three languages

The two translated pages are actual copies of the agent’s work on a brochure from LAEMMLE Chemicals—none of it has been corrected by hand afterward. The photo, graphics, seals, and layout remain unchanged. Only the text is replaced, and it is done so in a way that ensures it fits within the available space in each language.

ROXOR TERRA PRIME SYNTH de BR 035-200-00_EN.pdf

Created by the Reqser Agent

The only input was the German page on the left—the Reqser agent generated the other two from it. The page is not a text document, but a designed brochure: red and dark areas, a photo, lists in three columns, a table, and a seal. The agent simply replaces the text and resets each text segment to its respective area. During the first French pass, two columns were one line too low, and three text blocks were flush with their margins without any spacing. The evaluation agent found these issues, and the agent made corrections—only the third version was sent out.

Everything the agent took into account in this example

  • Columns and rows. The advantages are listed side by side in three columns: English technical term, German equivalent, benefit. The translation must remain on the same line as the term to its left; otherwise, a description will suddenly be assigned to the wrong attribute. That is exactly what happened in the first French review, and that is exactly what the review found.
  • Distance from the edge. The same statement takes up more space in French. The designer measures how much white space the German text leaves around its edges and maintains the same spacing: Where “Protects components and sealing materials” had a 34-pixel margin, the French version must not touch the edge. If space becomes tight, the designer reduces the font size slightly rather than cutting off text.
  • The font used in the brochure. Embedded fonts often contain only the characters needed by the original. French guillemets and apostrophes are not included in this brochure font—they would be rendered in a substitute font and would immediately stand out. The agent rephrases such passages instead of mixing a different font into your page.
  • What is not translated. “Focus Seal Compatibility,” “Based on Biomass,” and “PIONEER STARTS HERE” are already in English in the original German text—the agent leaves them as is. Likewise, the product name, standards, certifications, and product numbers remain unchanged: ROXOR TERRA PRIME SYNTH, ISO 15380, REDcert2, 87905.
  • Text in the photo. There is a sticker on the excavator that reads “Bio Hydraulic Fluid in use.” The agent reviewed the photo and decided: The text is part of the scene in the photo, not part of the page’s design—so the photo stays as is. Images with added text, on the other hand, go through the same review process as those handled by the image translation agent.
  • Searchable text. The translation is not superimposed on the page as an image, but is inserted back into the page as text. This ensures that the French brochure remains searchable and copyable, just like the original.
  • Filename. The translated version is saved as “…_FR.pdf” next to the original in your store. This way, you can see at a glance in the media library which file corresponds to which language.

What Sets This Agent Apart

Deeply integrated into the store – 100% automated

Just like with your text content, you only maintain the PDFs in the source language. The crawler finds what your front end links to, the agent translates it, and updates the links to your foreign-language pages. If you replace a price list months later or add a new language, the system will detect this during the next crawl, and the missing versions will be generated automatically.

Connected to your text translation agent

The text in the PDF is translated using the same translator as the rest of your store's content—with your glossary, your protected terms, and your store's context.

Links reorder themselves

You don't need to manually edit any links or create any link rules. Every foreign-language page that links to the German PDF will then link to the version in its own language.

Your own translations will remain

If you already have a separate PDF for a language and reference it with a link rule, that language remains unchanged. You don't pay for a PDF that no one will ever see.

Ongoing, not a one-time occurrence

New price list online, new language enabled, PDF replaced—the agent detects these changes during its next crawl and automatically generates the missing versions.

Charges are based on the number of PDF pages translated

One unit is one page in a foreign language: 1 PDF with 12 pages in 2 foreign languages equals 24 translated PDF pages. Searching and counting are free, and as long as a PDF remains unchanged, there are no additional costs.

Try up to 25 PDF pages for free

You can test up to 25 translated PDF pages against your actual PDFs—within the context of your own store, using your languages and your dictionary.
